How to Increase Laptop Speed - A Tweak That You Should Do If Your Laptops Are Running Slow

A question that many laptop owners will eventually ask when their laptops are starting to annoy them. The thing is, to increase laptop speed is the same as you do a computer, provided that they have the same operating system, which in this case is Windows. But being a little less powerful than a computer, a laptop can slow down in almost all application if not maintained properly. In this article, I will show you an easy visual tweak as one of the ways on how to increase laptop speed.

The newer version of Windows provides an additional visual feature that is stunning to look at. With the entire dropdown menu animation, it is quite impressive. But with a laptop, this extra features, though barely noticeable, can become a hassle and will slow down you laptop.

This feature will used up your laptop's resources and will make the system take longer to load, which nobody wants. You need to remove this feature and then optimize your laptop's resources on the performance and not the visual feature.

This is one of the ways on how to increase laptop speed, to do this; you can access the Performance Options and tweak the options there to suit your laptop. To access the Performance Option, click start, then go to Control Panels, and then look for the System icon, and click it. Alternatively, you could just right click the My Computer and select properties.

At the system properties, select the advanced tab and then click settings in the performance area. If you do it correctly, the Performance Dialog window will appear.

There, you can tweak the option that suit your laptop, and reduce any visual luxury that has been making your laptop running slow.

Or if your laptop is really in a bad shape, you could choose the Adjust for best performance options. This can really make your Windows unpretty, but you will have the speed that you wanted.

However, the visual tweak should only be a last resort. There are many more ways on how to increase laptop speed such as defragmenting and cleaning out your registry, which is a better way to increase laptop speed without sacrificing the visual feature. A Diva's Guide to Buying a Pink Laptop

So you're thinking about buying a new laptop. But if you're like me, it has to match with my style and I cannot, will not, absolutely not buy a black, plain laptop. It's boring and it says nothing about who I am. When I see a plain laptop, my eyes get droopy and I just want to fall asleep. I want something that, when I take it out, it will attract attention and create conversation. I also wouldn't mind if it made cute guys approach me and ask me about it...

If you are a diva like me and you want a laptop, now is the best time to buy one. The fashionistas have spoken and the industry has delivered! Designers have begun creating unique, colorful laptops that a diva is sure to approve of...I did. I found this amazing pink laptop that has tons of memory and a long battery...And it's pink!

When I was considering a colorful laptop, I thought of a few things. First, I have this sensational designer purse that is large enough to fit a laptop inside. The laptop had to match the cute, pink flowers that were a part of the design on the purse. The pink laptop I found was perfect, a light pink color that was absolutely marvelous.

Next, the laptop has to match a majority of my shoes. Just like the old saying that your belt should match your shoes, I feel the same way about a laptop. Since I had tons of pink shoes, it didn't take long to decide that pink was the color for my personal style.

The other question I asked myself was, do I wear this color often? Pink is a major staple of my entire wardrobe so it had to be pink!

Once I decided I needed a pink laptop, I fretted a bit about the price. Hopefully the price would be decent even though it was a pretty color. I was so happy to see that the pretty pink one was no more expensive than the boring black one! Honestly, there isn't a huge price difference if you need a laptop that has style and sass.

Now that I have my pretty pink laptop, everywhere I got I get asked where I got it. And the other day I was at a little cafe enjoying a latte, and I noticed this guy staring at me from across the tables. I pretended like I didn't notice. He approached me on his way out and just stopped and said, "I love that your laptop matches your shoes." Mission accomplished!

A Pink Laptop Revolution

Laptops used to come in drab grays, whites, and blacks. Slowly, silver and platinum colored laptops began to find mainstream acceptance. Shortly after that, colors began to invade the market. Now, you can get a laptop in any color of the spectrum, including pink.

Pink laptops are clearly the most successful colored laptops to find mainstream acceptance in today's market. Marketing for pink laptops has targeted everyone from teenage girls to career oriented women. Not only has the pink laptop revolution reached homes, it has reached workplaces as well. Just a quick search on Google for the term "pink laptop" returned over three million search results. How's that for mainstream?

In marketing pink laptops and targeting a wide range of women, companies that provide pink laptops have opened the door to an entire array of reasons to own a laptop computer.

Stand Out - A pink laptop is a sure way to grab attention. Whether you're a teenager using her laptop in class or a high profile businesswoman, extra attention is always a good thing.

Make a Statement - Your pink laptop makes a statement about you and your personality. It says, "I'm bright, I'm cheerful, and I'm someone to pay attention to." Making a statement about yourself and your character has never been so easy.

Accessorize - We all like accessories, and that's what a pink laptop can be. Useful for a wide range of things, it can compliment you and be a bold accessory with a feminine touch. A pink laptop goes with anything.

A true pink laptop revolution is fueled by the need for more than just a laptop. By marketing pink laptops to all women, laptop manufacturers and distributors have blurred the lines between style, class, elegance, and functionality.

Style and class go hand in hand with fashion and as mentioned before, a pink laptop is the perfect accessory for almost any outfit or style. With pinks that range from soft and gentle to the bold neon pink laptops with a high-gloss sleek finish, no matter your sense of style or you needs, you can find a laptop that matches your personality exactly.

Elegance comes with the bold statement that a pink laptop makes. With the mainstream acceptance of bolder colors and brighter finishes on laptops, a pink laptop can compliment your features and personality.

Of course, functionality is just as important as color. A laptop must work for you and your situation and needs. Be sure to check the system specs to ensure the hardware will provide the functionality that you will need.

So go ahead. Be bold and make a statement. Go pink.

Switch to Dedicated Hosting for Expanded Service

A serious online business needs dedicated hosting, there's no doubt about it. Having your own privacy and bandwidth which is not shared with anybody is a requirement when your business gets to a certain level. The standard definition of dedicated hosting is having an entire server which is at your disposal, as the web site owner, and which is not shared with other web sites.

This indeed has far more advantages than shared hosting the web site owner has full control over his own server, including customizing the operating system, hardware, database, etc. You can personalize everything according to your feelings, while the administration is handled by the hosting company.

The most important advantage of using dedicated hosting is that your website performance will not be affected by other websites which you would have been sharing your server's bandwidth with on a standard, shared server. Dedicated hosting provides an exclusive server or servers devoted to the only purpose of serving exclusively you.

Before the existence of dedicated servers, a website owner had two basic hosting options, the low-priced shared hosting model and the premium-priced dedicated server. A web site owner who purchased space on a shared host would receive a certain amount of disk space and monthly transfer, and would have the web site served from a common web server.

The hosting company would try to provide the web site developer with many options, in order to make their products more popular. Unfortunately, a customer who needed a non-standard program installed was not allowed to do that, even with all the efforts from the hosting company. This is because you depended on other persons, and in these cases majority decides.

As a basic example, you might have a site which requires a database to store your important pieces of information. Most hosting companies would provide the MySQL database to use on their servers, because it is a standard and most webmasters use it. If your application requires another type of database though, then it could prove to be incompatible with the shared hosting account.

Hosting your sites on a dedicated server is not an option from the start though. If you plan on designing a site which is merely a hobby, then shared hosting should do the trick. Dedicated hosting is for persons who want to make a living online and, moreover, their site begins to have too much traffic than a shared server can handle.

While dedicated servers can be customized and can handle a tremendous amount of traffic, their superior performance doesn't come cheap. On average, a dedicated server can cost you hundreds of dollars per month depending on its size, network connectivity, etc.

That's why, first of all, you need to be sure that you want to take your business the next level, and you really need your company to grow. If this is your case, dedicated hosting is indeed your best option.

Opting For a Managed Dedicated Hosting Service

If you are running a small business, then you are probably concerned about how ecomm is changing how people do business these days. Unlike before when you didn't need to have your own computer and you didn't have to worry about web hosting, these days, there is an unspoken rule that if you want to prosper in your business, you need to have web presence. Having your own website would help you generate and facilitate sales.

If you are looking for a small business hosting service, you have several options to choose from. You really don't have to worry about the cost because there are many affordable webhosting providers offering their service.

Different Categories of Small Business Webhosting Services

Hosting website services for small businesses can be divided into four categories -- corporate co-location, managed web hosting, shared and in-house. Among these four, it is advisable for you to start with managed dedicated hosting. What does this mean? Basically, when you use a dedicated hosting website service, it means that you would rent your dedicated server from a service provider. Of course, you may customize your server and place remote server access. However, the service provider would be responsible for providing the hardware and software needed to operate the server. They would also be responsible for installing and maintaining the same. What does this mean to you then? This translates into cost savings for you and your business.

When you opt for managed dedicated hosting, you will be able to avoid the expense associated with setting up and maintaining a website. The cost of the bandwidth is oftentimes distributed to all the provider's clients, so all of these clients save a lot of money. You would also be able to enjoy the quirks offered by the managed dedicated hosting providers. You could take advantage of the service packages as well.

A corporate co-located webhosting, on the other hand, allows you to store your own hardware and Internet connection into a particular server space that your provider will allocated for you. This allows you to save a few dollars here and there, but this does not offer the same savings that managed dedicated hosting service does.

Choosing Your Managed Dedicated Hosting Server

Generally if you want a secure, reliable but completely affordable way of putting up your website, website hosting is the perfect choice. However, you should make sure that you have a reliable webhosting provider. They should be able to ensure that they can provide search engine visibility for your website, so check for a dedicated webhosting server that is continuously up and running. This will guarantee that your website will be up all the time and people will be able to have access to you and your service at all times.

These days, business owners need to have their own website if they want to stay ahead of their competitors. However, you need to make sure that would still be able to save money from setting up and maintaining a website and you can only do this if you use a managed dedicated hosting service.

Outsourcing - Ensure Business Booms With a Dedicated Hosting Service

The internet has opened up doors to many new and existing businesses, enabling them to 'go global' by simply setting up a web site that outlines the services and products they have on offer. Moreover, many 21st century businesses exist entirely in the online world. And this makes perfect sense, given the relatively low costs involved in setting up a web site and maintaining it either from home or a small office.

And, whilst in the early days a web site may have been designed merely to augment the existing operations, any company worth its salt will now dedicate a large percentage of its resources towards maintaining and promoting their online presence.

At a time when the global economic climate is looking more uncertain than ever and many forecasts predicting an imminent recession, never has it been more important for businesses to place more focus on all aspects of its revenue-generating activities. As such, there is less focus on the time-consuming behind-the-scenes activities that may be necessary to running a successful business, but simultaneously hinder a company from carrying out their core business functions to the best of its abilities.

And this is why many organisations choose to outsource certain aspects of their operations. Not only does it enable them to concentrate on what it is they do best, but it helps them to tap into the knowledge and expertise of experts in a specific field.

For example, a company may choose to outsource the recruitment side of their business, particularly if they are an organisation with a small staff turnover, as it enables access to a specialised service only when it is required.

Similarly, information technology is a key area for most 21st century businesses. However, a high level of technical expertise is required to optimise this side of operations, whether it's through effective web design, web hosting or network management. By outsourcing such specialised business functions, it can actually be a lot more cost-effective in the long-run, as it is one less area that a business has to worry about becoming an 'expert' in.

Furthermore, using a dedicated server to host all internet and network services can offer a business a far more flexible solution than a shared server can, as it gives the organisation full control over operating systems and choice of hardware. In this respect, dedicated servers are able to offer more security and reliability, as a result.

It is also possible to arrange a server administration service from the hosting company which, ultimately, can offer a far greater return on investment in the long run. And given the current global economic situation, any possible solution that can increase revenue and help to streamline business operations, can surely only be a good thing.

How to Find the Best Cheap Dedicated Hosting Server Web

You came across this article because you are looking for the best cheap dedicated hosting server. There are several different types of hosting plans (IE: shared, dedicated, co-location, and reseller hosting).

One type of hosting is reseller hosting where the provider offers web server storage space to third party at a discounted price, who again resell it to his own customer. Normally resellers include web consultants like web designers, developers or system Integration Company who after charging commission which is even upto 50%(taken as discount) can resell the web hosting. Resellers can set up their own hosting company and can decide for their own pricing structure with establishing their own branding.

In case of reseller hosting for reseller's customers, the reseller is the web host provider. When some technical problem arises like down server or any access problem then in that case the resellers have to settle all with actual web host provider. However this is not the effective way as it leads to unnecessary waste of time due to various channels involved in the communication process like first customer contacts reseller and then reseller contacts actual web host provider and same is with the response it also comes back from the same process, so the problems pertains for a long time. Thus reseller hosting is not considered a good option unless user is having his own personal website or he is having an alternative for poor support from reseller.

Now with growing competition market is having abundant of resellers who are selling their services at a very low price. Due to this and other factors like even some web-hosting providers provide their own toll free numbers to their resellers for co-branded technical support, this makes the decision more difficult to choose which is the right choice.

Thus it is more important to act wisely and to not get attracted with marketing techniques employed by resellers like professional outlook of their website and other strategies like proving technical support in their own name which is actually provided by the provider and not by them but they tend to present it in such a way that they are providing that support.

Thus considering all these facts it can be concluded easily that due to a minute difference of several dollars one must not get struck in the web of resellers and must go for best facilities instead of getting harassment afterwards.

Managed and Unmanaged Dedicated Hosting

With large and complex website that receives a lot of traffic you may find that shared hosting is not for you. It could be limiting your growth and the capacity to serve your customers. If you find yourself in this situation, it may be time to move on to dedicated hosting which offers many advantages over shared hosting.

Dedicated web hosting is much more expensive than shared hosting because the cost of operating the server is not divided between various accounts. Paying the higher price, however, lets you use all server resources as you please.

There are many different dedicated hosting packages available. Their prices depend on the physical setup of the server computer - faster processors, more memory and bigger hard drives cost more.

Managed hosting

Another factor influencing the price is whether or not the server is managed. Keeping a server running in top condition can be a time consuming task requiring certain technical skills.

A managed hosting service offers the support and expertise to maintain your server and to perform routine maintenance without your involvement. This can be a viable alternative to hiring your own staff to maintain your servers.

The drawback of managed hosting is that it can be a lot more expensive than unmanaged hosting. Whether the price is justified depends on the complexity of your website and whether you already have people who can look after the server operations.
Unmanaged hosting

Unmanaged hosting, despite its name, does not really leave you entirely to your own devices. Most hosting companies offer a certain level of support for all their dedicated hosting packages. This support includes hardware maintenance with extra technical support available if you need help with configuration or software installation.

You likely will have to pay for this extra support, but it may be cheaper than going with a full managed package.

Check to see how much control you can have over the server hardware with unmanaged hosting. You should be able to reboot your server when you need it or to expect someone to do it for you with a minimum of delay.

The value of a dedicated hosting package depends on the reliability and integrity of the hosting company. If your website needs dedicated hosting, you need to use a hosting provider that you can rely on to keep your site online.

The choice between managed or unmanaged hosting depends on the technical requirements of your website and your ability to manage a server and keep it running at peak efficiency. If you prefer to have highly trained professionals looking after the server, go with managed hosting. If you can handle most of the maintenance yourself, choose an unmanaged server.
