Samsung NC10 Review
The Samsung NC10 was one of Samsung's first netbooks, and it really shook up the netbook market. The Samsung NC10 is available in both white and black and it is matted, which is great as it will pick up less dust and finger prints.
The build quality, being a Samsung, is impeccable and this is one netbook that won't buckle under continuous use.
The keyboard measures just 93% of a standard laptop, so although it is smaller, it is not tiny which makes typing fast and for lengthy periods of time very comfortable. The keys also have good spacing between them so that you don't accidentally hit more than one. Beneath the keyboard there is a small touchpad. The good thing with the touchpad on the Samsung NC10 is that the mouse buttons on beneath at like you would find on a standard laptop, unlike some netbooks that put the mouse buttons on either side of the touch pad.
It seems Samsung have listened to its customers, as they have fixed the issue with the netbook running a little hot, by improving airflow beneath and around the NC10. One of the most important aspects of a netbook, or any portable technology to be honest, is the battery life. It doesn't matter how powerful the machine, as if the battery is dead, you can not use it. Samsung have provided a six-cell battery on the Samsung NC10, which means that you should be able to squeeze the battery life just past 5 hours. There is a standard 1.3 mega pixel camera which can be used for video calls. The screen on the Samsung NC10 measures 10.2 inches, so it is not a tiny netbook like you will find from Asus. However, this is in line with consumer demand. It works with an Intel Atom processor, has 1GB RAM and 160 GB storage. This will be plenty for even the most avid user and will be more than sufficient.
The Samsung NC10 is a fantastic netbook and has a top-end spec and great aesthetics.
